Green Satin Blazer + Denim Cutoffs.

Packing in those nearly-neons as summer inches to a close.

Bright green has really been the color of the summer– at least around here– and I’m clearly not ready to let it go. This green satin blazer was part of the second KERRently the Drop collection for Amazon and I knew it would make for a killer end-of-summer outfit. (I already had the first collection’s black version; what can I say? I’m a sucker for a good blazer.)

I wanted to juxtapose the dressy satin against something a little more casual, like these denim cutoffs. A basic white t-shirt (fitted, cropped) for the base and a pair of striped sandals (from ages ago, but you can get the vibe with these or these) to finish things off. I accessorized with my much-loved Amazon hoops (amazing quality for under $15 and so lightweight) and a rainbow baguette ring that I get compliments on every time I wear it.

The final look? A stand-out-in-the-crowd summer outfit that is still wearable and quite comfortable. You can’t beat the comfort of a t-shirt and denim shorts, as long as said shorts aren’t unbearably tight and are properly broken in, of course. A sandal with a bit of a heel adds length while remaining walkable. Strike that balance, people!

The Drop collections are only available for 30 hours, but you can shop similar blazers here, here, and here if you’re in the market to add some green to your wardrobe.

Even though this green satin blazer feels summery (and I certainly billed it that way), I don’t think it exclusively has to stay summery. I’m thinking about how chic it would look as part of a holiday look worn over a black turtleneck and tights with a shiny black patent heel. Christmas blazer? We shall see.
