A retro dress with a summery pump for a late-August outfit.

Time for a retro moment! And this color block 80s dress definitely qualifies. My friend Brina sent me a link and said, “You need this,” and boy, was she right. In the best way, I feel like a printed styrofoam cup at a skating rink in 1987 in this dress.
Dresses like this are perfect for August because while they’re breathable and breezy, they aren’t revealing. This means they go as easily to the office without ruffling the dress code’s feathers as they do out for a boozy Sunday brunch. I chose a white pump with a wooden block heel. Simple, but super polished.

Another way to remix this dress? Since the buttons are functioning, you could wear this worn open as a jacket over jean shorts and a tank or over the top of your swimsuit as a coverup. Any way you wear this color block 80s dress, it’s a cute and retro way to beat the heat!

The dress is beautiful especially the colour-blocking. It has an ease to it which is perfect for comfort. But still adds that stylish look at the same time. I love the way you paired it with white heels. I feel you can wear this so many ways and still feel chic.
