Festive outfit, round 2! Last week I walked the line between casual and dressy, but this week I’m going full-stop fancy in a satin suit. An oversized blazer (so oversized, in fact, it can also function as a dress!) worn over matching joggers make for a fun and festive athleisure-meets-disco look.

This satin set was part of Courtney Kerr’s Amazon collection, KERRently x The Drop. Amazon The Drop launches limited-edition fashion collections– and when I say limited, I mean you gotta add to cart and purchase immediately or you’ll wind up empty-handed. I was lucky to score this suit and knew it would be perfect for the holidays.

My first inclination was to grab a sparkly pump to pair with this satin suit, but then I pivoted to an edgier option: a burgundy patent bootie. These are from Zara a few seasons ago, but you can score similar versions here and here. I love how the bootie adds a little color and its shape gives the look a futuristic feel.

I love this outfit for a Christmas dinner situation, but it would also make a great NYE look. A little edge, a little glam, lots of room to move and dance. My birthday is New Year’s Eve and I haven’t fully landed on what I’m wearing– maybe this is it?

Like I mentioned above, this blazer doubles as a dress. (You know I love a good blazer dress!) You could pair it with patterned tights and pumps or even a slouchy bootie. I also like the idea of wearing the satin joggers with a bodysuit or a super cozy sweater. They would dress up or down depending on the shoe choice; anything with a heel is going to bring the glam while a flat (or even a sneaker!) would make ’em more casual. I love the options this satin suit offers!

Wishing you a merry Christmas!
