Extra LSR: Amazon Beauty + Food Favorites.

Beauty and food items I’m always re-purchasing on Amazon.

Amazon has become a staple in my shopping diet. They’ve just made everything so easy. I Prime a variety of things to my house and frequently find myself saying, “Oh, you can buy anything on Amazon” because it’s so damn true. Mascara? Check. A new pack of socks? Check. A couch? Sure. Dog treats? Yep. Fuel injectors for your car? Of course. (I have actually bought these for my Dad, who wanted to use my Prime for quick + free delivery, ha.)

After the lovely response to those cool Amazon leggings I’ve fallen in love with, I thought you might want to see other items I buy on the regular from Amazon.

Two of my favorite things: beauty products and food! Let’s start with beauty. I don’t get all my beauty products on Amazon, but I’ve started searching there when I run out of something to see if I can’t find it cheaper/get it faster. It’s just so convenient to be able to order that brow pencil I’m almost out of vs. having to find time to go to Target. One less errand to run!

Here are a few beauty bits I have re-purchased several times in the last 6 months.

Want the perfect cat eye? Then you need this liner. I was originally skeptical but figured the $13 price tag wasn’t so big a risk. Turns out, this liner is awesome. The left and right stamps ensure you get a perfect wing every single time. The formula is good for normal wear; sometimes if I need it to stay longer than 6-8 hours, I’ll go over it with a longer-wear liquid liner. I’m on my third order and love this stuff!

I have raved about these pimple patches for years. Whenever I have a blemish, I stick one of these discreet little stickers on the spot after cleansing + moisturizing and then go to bed. The sticker gently draws out the pus (how lovely) from the pimple and the area is noticeably less red, sore, and raised in the a.m. Genius! I actually have a pack of 3 in my Amazon cart right now because I’m almost out– I always keep these stocked in the beauty closet.

You can get NYX at a ton of drugstores, but the past few times I’ve purchased I’ve done so through Amazon. Easy, peasy. This brow pencil is a dupe for the more expensive Anastasia Brow Wiz, which used to be my go-to for brows. Now I’m a NYX Micro Brow Pencil convert!

I love this mascara because while it’s volumizing, it still leaves lashes a bit fluttery. I like a jet black, soft-looking lash. And this price is killer!

Hands-down my favorite concealer and has been for ages. Most days, I’ll use this under my eyes + over any red spots, blend, set with powder, and then skip foundation. Another total bargain, too.

Okay, this prenatal vitamin isn’t a traditional beauty product, but that’s what I use it for because it’s packed with folic acid, which supports healthy hair. (I also think it helps your hair grow faster!) The rest of the ingredients serve as a good woman’s multivitamin and the price isn’t crazy. This is essentially what I use instead of taking those expensive hair vitamins (like Sugar Bear and the like).

These EO wipes are so clutch.

You heard last week about my switch to natural deodorant, so it only made sense to include these little tea tree deodorant wipes in this round-up. These are perfect for on-the-go touch-ups, especially during that crazy deodorant detox phase when your body is coming off its aluminum antiperspirant dependency and things can get really sweaty + smelly fast.

Now let’s dive into food faves! This is an area Amazon has really developed over the past year or so; I can find a ton of food here that I previously could not. And while I’m not strictly following the keto diet (I do more of a carb-cycling routine that allows for more flexibility, so only a few days a week are low-carb), most of my Amazon food favorites are keto-friendly, because Amazon is one of the best + cheapest places to find these products. (Plus they’re yummy.) It’s a great place to click and around and explore because the food section has grown so much.

I love beef jerky and summer sausage and all that jazz, but so many of those processed meats have not-so-great-for-you nitrites and preservatives. Duke’s Smoky Sausages do not contain these types of chemicals, so they’re considered much healthier options. They’re also made from hormone-free meat, which is another plus. I love the original and the hot & spicy flavors; I’ll toss 2-3 sticks in a Ziploc bag as part of my lunches during the week.

Quest is a favorite brand of mine; they’re some of the best the business when it comes to low-carb. When I’m craving chips (salty + crunchy is my weakness, okay), I reach for a bag of their tortilla chips. They do a killer job of actually tasting like a chip while still staying on the low-carb/low-sugar side. They’re also protein-packed, which your standard chip cannot claim. The chili lime and nacho flavors are really good; the latter is seriously a Doritos dupe!

When I’m craving pasta on a lower-carb day, Palmini comes to my rescue. It’s made with hearts of palm (vs. wheat flour) and I love it because it has a consistency more like a true noodle. (I’ve found some low-carb pasta substitutes to be on the slimy side.) The flavor of the heart of palm is mild (especially if you rinse it before cooking!) and tends to take on the flavor of whatever sauce you’re using, which is perfect!

Low-carb, low-sugar peanut butter? Yes, please! Peanut butter is one of those sneaky foods; the normal stuff seems healthy, but it’s packed with sugar and preservatives. I love Fix & Fogg’s versions; they have a ton of flavors (try the dark chocolate omg) but a good place to start is their classic smooth peanut butter.

A little peek inside my pantry, featuring lots of Amazon food finds.

Need a little crunch? Get some moon cheese. It comes in a variety of flavors and are great low-cal + low-carb snacks with a solid amount of calcium + protein. They’re also really good sprinkled on top of salads and soups! Perfect for chili or tortilla soup, where you’d traditionally use crackers or tortilla strips.

Not a true food, but this my favorite gum of all-time (I joke I want Trident to sponsor me). I always have a pack of this on me, and I’m a happy girl now that I’ve found it in bulk (for super cheap!) on Amazon.

Did you know seaweed is considered a superfood? It’s full of calcium, magnesium, potassium, iodine, and iron. I discovered these roasted seaweed snacks a few months ago and have had the pantry stocked with ’em since. Only 100 calories a pack, but with 6 g of protein and 6 g of fiber. I love the sriracha and sesame flavors. It’s also sustainably-sourced, which I love!

Speaking of fiber, these pumpkin seed crackers are fiber-heavy. Of the all the GG crackers I’ve tried, this version is my favorite. (The regular bran flavor is like cardboard, seriously– trust me on this.) GG crackers are really versatile, too: I’ll spread a little peanut butter over the top for a sweeter snack, or use it like I would a bagel with cream cheese + smoked salmon. A little avocado and sriracha is a nice savory version, also. Lots of options!

I spoke about Quest before, and these are my go-to protein bar. Low sugar, low carb, lots of protein. I take one to work every day as part of my lunch, and I’ll toss one in my bag if I’m going to be running errands on a weekend day and won’t have time to stop and have a proper meal. At only 4-5 net carbs each, Quest bars are awesome! If you’ve never tried ’em before, a variety pack will help you figure out which flavors are your fave. I really like the apple pie, blueberry muffin, cookies and cream, brownie, chocolate chip oatmeal cookie, and hazelnut flavors.

What did I leave out? I love discovering new things on Amazon, so if you have anything in these categories (or any category, for that matter), send them my way! And let me know if there are other types of Amazon finds you’d like to see me cover here on the blog. I love to share a good deal + a great product (especially when you can Prime it to your house in 2 days!)

I also find Amazon super convenient. However, I try to buy more local again to support the smaller shops in the city. Every now and then, I can’t resist Amazons anyways 😀

  13. Love these food picks! I recently discovered Quest and I am obsessed with their chips. I couldn’t believe how good they tasted while still being so low carb and so high in protein. I tried a bunch of other chips and none even came close. I’ve started branching out to other of their products but I think their bars will be the next on the list! Thanks for the recommendation!
