White Pinstripe Blazer and Platform Converse Sneakers.

Blazers for fall but a white pinstripe blazer skirts the in-between season period.

I’m flirting with fall lately but Kansas City is in the upper 90s this week (for real), so it’s about balance until things cool off. I started this outfit with a neutral set from Amazon. The wide-leg culotte trouser and the blousy tank make for a standalone outfit in the summer, but I layered a white pinstripe blazer over the top to make it feel a little more autumnal. (My exact blazer is sold out, but snag similar versions here and here.)

Between the classic pinstripe and the double-breast with tortoiseshell buttons, this blazer is such a cool piece. I sized up for a boyfriend feel. To counter those professional attire vibes, I added a platform Converse sneaker rather than a sandal or a pump.

Don’t worry, this white blazer won’t stay relegated to summer and early fall. It’ll be super chic with dark denim and pumps (or boots, weather depending) all fall and winter long. I’m thinking a lacy camisole before it gets too cold, and then perhaps a navy turtleneck later in winter to compliment that navy pinstripe.

  1. I feel like pairing sneakers with tight-fitting business attire just doesn’t work the same way as when wearing oversized business attire. Don’t you think?
