Track pants are back.
I think my blog is slowly becoming Things People Wore in the 80s and 90s, but I’m completely fine with it. Remember those tear-away track pants you wore in middle/high school? (If you don’t because weren’t alive yet/were too young, please refrain from making me feel older than I am.) They are back. Same sporty vibe, but with a modern twist. These wide-leg trousers are made of scuba material, which means they’ve got some stretch and heft. I love the bright red stripe down the leg, and yesâ those are fully functional snaps. Love. It. I grabbed those white booties from a few weeks back and a cool distressed sweater from my current boutique fave, Kindred Shops.
Wide-leg trousers really lengthen the leg, especially when they’re long enough to wear with a stiletto bootie. Love the way the white bookends this look; it adds a little brightness while still letting that killer striped track pant shine.

I love when trends like track pants resurface because it gives me a chance to redeem myself from when I rocked these pieces as an awkward 13-year old. We all had those weird fashion periods in middle school, right? I’m pretty sure the last time I wore track pants, they were white almost-translucent Adidas and I paired ’em with a short-sleeved psychedelic flower button-up from Gadzooks. (I. Am. Not. Kidding.)
