Color-block Blazer and Straight-leg Jeans.

What’s a step up from your fall fave camel blazer? A color-block blazer, of course.

November, good to see you! (But seriously, where did October go? It absolutely flew by.) I’m starting to sniff out the fall trends I want to lean into this season, and color-blocked blazers are at the top of the list. I’ve always been a blazer girl, but a color-block blazer? Okay, that adds a level of oomph I’m all about.

I scored this color-block blazer from VICI about a month or so ago (of course it’s sold out there, but I found an almost identical version here, and also love this one and this one). It takes your classic camel blazer and really adds some punch with splashes of chocolate brown and baby blue. I knew it would be a great piece to wear (on-camera) at work and also off-duty as part of more casual outfits. That’s exactly how I’m styling it here, with a pair of Old Navy jeans, an easy ribbed turtleneck, and a pair of chic sneakers.

The turtleneck is a classic fall + winter layering staple. I like to score mine from places like H&M and Target because they come on the cheap (which comes in handy when I add a handful of colors to my cart). I love how lightweight this version is, while that high neck feature immediately anchors the look in November versus April.

These jeans are another new(ish) score. After I heard good things about the OG straight mid-rise jeans from Old Navy, I tried ’em out. They’re a hit! There’s plenty of stretch (I would recommend sizing down), a nice high waist that keeps you supported, and feature a cool ankle slit that is very on-trend. They’re also on major sale right now–love it when that happens.

I’m such a big fan of this color-block blazer. The generally neutral palette means it’s going to work all year long, but I love the chocolate touch as a fun nod to fall. And that baby blue will be key for wearing it during the spring. Color block something to really make it seasonless! Just genius, really.

    1. The turtleneck really helps the look feel anchored in the fall vs. spring- because you can definitely wear this blazer then, too! So glad you like the look. 🙂
