Rich! That’s the theme of today’s outfit. Rich prints, rich movement, rich fabrics. Let’s start with this Anthropologie wrap dress– what a stunner, right? I love the ruffles and how their print contrasts against the print on the body of the dress.

I layered a gorgeous hunter green velvet blazer over the top. Not only did this add some serious luxury, but it kept me warm. (Well, warmer than I would’ve been without it, for sure.) Nothing like velvet to bring in a rich vibe!

To add some punch, my shoe of choice was a burgundy patent bootie with a slim heel and a super pointed toe. Witch boots! They helped add more attitude to the outfit and also pulled out those reddish tones in the dress.

Shop the look:

The fabric of this wrap dress is on the lightweight side, so it’ll be a good piece for early spring or fall. The neckline isn’t so low you couldn’t pop this on for the office and has a little hook and eye closure to make sure to keep the goods covered. That is usually my chief complaint about wrap dresses– the neckline ends up gaping over time and you serve up more cleavage than intended. Not with this dress! Smart feature by Anthro.

The green velvet blazer was a Christmas gift and oh my will this be getting some serious play. Picture it with a simple black turtleneck and jeans, or with a pair of slim cigarette trousers and stilettos. The color is perfect for holiday wear, so it’ll be in the rotation for Christmases to come. Such a fun, timeless piece! And again, velvet is never going to steer you wrong.
