Bold Leather + $400 Nordstrom Giveaway.

“Leather jackets are a girl’s best friend” is quickly becoming my anthem. Can’t stop, won’t stop.

Throw a leather jacket on over any basic outfit to instantly make it cooler, tougher, better. I love jackets with an edge, like this one from ASOS with super strong shoulders. However, moto, 90’s style biker, open + draped front, they all work. Don’t forget faux! There are some really great vegan options available right now. (This jacket from a few weeks back, for example, is a total winner in the faux leather department.)

I started with a really simple look: black long-sleeved tee, skinny olive khakis, and a pair of patent flats. Easy, goes a variety of places (the office, a lunch date, etc.), but gets a quick shot of cool with the addition of this leather jacket. Hello, shoulders!

I love the darker neutrals here, the touch of patent leather, and the killer lines of the jacket. This bad boy is my current go-to.

  1. This is a great leather jacket! I would not usually think a very sharp shoulder like this could be “cute” but it totally is on you! Your braid is adorable, too, and helps show off that great jacket!

  2. You are so gorgeous here! And look at that lighting! Wow! I am loving this outfit (and giveaway!!!) too, what a great post!

  3. That bold leather jacket is gorgeous. Love the flats also. And the pants – that style in khaki or olive, are a must for me. I am wearing similar pants in my current post. Looking lovely Ash. =)

  4. Ahhh!! I am obsessed with that leather jacket! It’s so MJ which I love haha! Thanks so much for cohosting the giveaway with me and helping me celebrate! 🙂
