Not-so-basic in a black moto jacket and some loud snakeskin boots.
Who says black is boring? There’s been a ton of all-black ensembles on the blog here recently and none of them fall in that category, that’s for sure. I’m bringing out one of my favorite moto jackets (vegan leather but you’d never know it!) and pairing it with a black turtleneck dress and tights for a sleek winter monochrome vibe. Punch-you-in-the-face statement shoe? Sure, sounds like me. Hello there, crazy snakeskin boots. I scored these years ago but still break ’em out now and again because they’re just too fun. I love the versatility of this outfit: you’re totally covered, so it’s office-friendly, and those loud boots will make a splash at dinner with the girls or on date night with your main squeeze. Options abound. These pieces break up nicely, as well. I love the snakeskin boots with skinny denim, and the black turtleneck dress is fun in the spring and fall with ankle boots. And you already know I wear this jacket everywhere! It’s an all-year piece.
Check back later in the week when things get decidedly more casual (think Spanx leggings and denim jackets!) because I can’t stay out of an athleisure-based #ootd for too long.
