Vintage Black Members Only Jacket + Dad Sneakers.

More 80s this week in a Members Only jacket.

Speaking of the 80s (since that seems to be the theme this week), who remembers the cultural phenomenon of the Members Only jacket? While born in the 80s, I was too young to remember (much less own) one, but later I learned it was one of the defining pieces of 80s style.

I stumbled across a vintage Members Only jacket at Boulevardia earlier this summer. It was an immediate, “Yes, I have to have this.” I knew it would be a great piece to add to my growing vintage collection and would come in handy as I started to craft summer-to-fall transition outfits. I wore it here with a simple gray swing dress (an Old Navy score that comes in a ton of color options) and a pair of chunky sneakers. 90s dad sneakers with an 80s bomber jacket?! I honestly can’t think of a cooler retro look that somehow works here in 2019.

Fit info: I sized down in the dress, my normal size in the sneakers, and the vintage bomber is a men’s medium (so it gives some serious slouch).

I’ll be wearing this Members Only jacket a ton come fall– it’ll be perfect with Levi’s and a bodysuit, or over a leggings and sneakers combo. A black bomber goes with almost everything casual!

  1. My girl, taking me back to my beloved 80’s! My dad had a blue one and I loved it! You look soooo ADORABLE

  2. *sigh* What does it mean when clothes you remember from yesterday are now “vintage” and being worn by cute girls for style? It means you’re OLD.

I say this as I head out the door to a Woodstock anniversary event. 🙂

  3. LOVE your new/vintage jacket! It’s in really great condition! Great styling with the dress + sneakers, and I love your idea of pairing it with jeans + bodysuit!

  4. Ugh I always wanted to be born in the 80s! But unfortunately I wasn’t born until the end of 1993. Anyway, that’s a really cool find and I love how you styled it 🙂
