Summer chic in this vintage striped suit.

I have been really feeling the vintage vibe lately, so this summery vintage striped suit with was love at first sight. I love the classic tan stripe– like the print on a beach chair in the French Riveria, no? All that volume, high-waisted action, and boxy cut made me feel like a late 80s boss weekending in the Hamptons. Here for it! (This shorts + blazer version is a killer dupe.)

And since I was reaching for vintage, pairing the suit with these old (I’m talking almost a decade) Zara sandals seemed fitting. Why don’t they make an exact version of this sandal anymore? The color blocking is chic + goes with everything, the heel is modern and very manageable, but gives you enough height to lengthen the leg line. I found a few similar versions here and here, but honestly, someone needs to dupe this sandal and fast!

A straw bag (still available and only $40) and a shell necklace were nice summery touches to round out this vintage striped suit look. Gold accessories with a tan stripe? Yes, please. It helps accentuate my (super fake, very faux) tan.

  8. I absolutely love this vintage suit on you. The stripe print is so pretty and perfect for summer, and so is the combo of culottes and a blazer. Why don’t they make more suits with culottes? The Zara sandals you wore with this suits are so awesome. Who could tell they are quite old? They must be really quality made.
