Summer time, and the living’s easy. Also easy: matching separates that make it beyond simple to leave the house looking polished. Enter this striped + embellished Scoobie set as an example. The cuteness of the baby blue stripes and girly appliques are balanced by the boxier cut of the top and the fit of the skirt; anything too flouncy and this look could’ve ventured into twee territory. White pumps (at a killer price, guys) provided a nice finishing touch.

The best bit about matching separates like this Scoobie set: you can break the pieces apart and wear ’em with everything else. This crop would be perfect with shredded white skinnies and a pair of sneakers, while I’m picturing the skirt paired with a camisole + denim jacket for the office.
