Summer time, and the living’s easy. Also easy: matching separates that make it beyond simple to leave the house looking polished. Enter this striped + embellished Scoobie set as an example. The cuteness of the baby blue stripes and girly appliques are balanced by the boxier cut of the top and the fit of the skirt; anything too flouncy and this look could’ve ventured into twee territory. White pumps (at a killer price, guys) provided a nice finishing touch.

This crop would be perfect with shredded white skinnies and a pair of sneakers, while I’m picturing the skirt paired with a camisole + denim jacket for the office.   2. LOVE this look! I’ve been looking for the perfect matching set. It can be hard to find one that fits just right without the top being too short. You look great. Like you mentioned – being able to wear the set separately with other pieces is an added bonus!

  14. I always love your matching set get-ups. They remind me of modern takes on the old classic suit sets. Except waaaayyyy cuter, and without all the shoulder pad shizz. Love the light blue and lace trim on you. Makes you look so tan!

  21. Sarah always finds the best gems, this set is amazing. I really do love the stripes and appliques but you’re right that if the shape were done wrong it would kind of look like an outfit for your baby doll haha. The boxy top is so perfect, I would for sure wear that with some white skinnies and colored heels for a pop of color!
