No Sweat(er).

Jeans and a sweater! Fall, is that you? The temps haven’t quite reached full-blown wool territory, but a lightweight summer sweater checks the aesthetic without being too toasty (I wore an orange version of this back in June). And I love these Express jeans–how good are the wash + rips at the knee? Lots of stretch, but they hold their shape. Added a new pair of suede gray pumps, which aren’t relegated to a single season, with a hidden platform to make ’em manageable to walk in.

I leave a summer sweater or two out when I pack my warm weather stuff away. They easily fit into an early fall wardrobe, but are lightweight enough to layer nicely under jackets and blazers later in the season. Being able to pull double-duty scores major points in my closet.

  1. It’s definitely not a full blown sweater weather outfit, which is why I love it! That sweater looks so cute and cozy for those early fall days.

Also, your jeans are perfect! They’re such a beautiful, rich wash and have the right amount of distress!

    1. I’m starting to tip toe into sweater territory, but I agree- not ready for the super heavy wool versions just yet. 🙂

  2. Lovely combination jeand +heels! Comfortable casula look! Thank you!

  3. Those pumps are fab! Those jeans do look pretty perfect too. I haven’t shopped at Express in ages but I think I may need to go check out their jeans–I keep seeing good ones there!!

  4. I wear light wear sweaters all summer. I am so cold natured, that I freeze at work + just about anywhere I go!! Love that sweater. Perfect weight for early fall!

  5. That sweater’s just perfect for the changing weather! I’ve been getting out the light knits recently too, although I’m not quite ready to say goodbye to summer.
