Navy is an all-year neutral for me. It obviously works with darker colors we associate with fall + winter, but also looks pretty sharp against bright white come spring and summer. How I’m wearing it today: in the form of a utilitarian shirt dress with a killer watercolor floral scarf and nude pumps.

The shirt dress was a must-by on a recent H&M visit. I loved the slouch, the minimalist navy-and-nothing-else, and the way the crepe material moved. Looping on a gorgeous scarf brought some color to the look for an extra touch.

  6. I love navy though I don’t wear a ton of it. Like you mentioned, mixing it with white is the perfect summer alternative to black. I love the pop of the scarf and jealous you snagged this dress! Love it!

  30. I have been loving all shades of blue lately. I own a lot of cobalt but would love to add more navy pieces. Love this shirt dress on you, especially with that great scarf! It definitely adds a spring vibe

  46. I love this dress! I really like how you dressed it up and made it business causal! Those simple heels are perfect and the scarf is such a fun piece! I would also wear a shirtdress with a denim jacket and some gladiator sandals! I would even wear Converse if I’m feeling lazy!
