The coolest athleisure with a Fly Girl feel.

Who remembers the Fly Girls? That’s where Jennifer Lopez got her start. The Fly Girls were all about big hoop earrings and attitude, but their style was equal parts cool and comfy. (Because they had to break it down, you know.) Fly Girl chic immediately came to mind when I spotted this jacket at Athleta. It’s cool, has a street vibe, but you can easily go for a run in it.

I wore it over these slick paper bag waist pants, which come in a super lightweight stretch material made from recycled plastic– okay, how cool and sustainable! These pants are chic enough for the office but seriously feel like your comfiest loungewear pants. (I wore them with a leopard sweater and ankle booties last week and got a ton of compliments on ’em!) They’re also wrinkle-resistant, making them great for everyday wear and travel.

Those 90s Dad sneaks from last week are back not only because they totally go with this vibe, but I’ve been wearing them nonstop since I snagged ’em from Shopbop. They are beyond comfortable (and give you a little height!) once you get used to the fact they are quite a bit heavier than your average sneaker in 2019.

I will be rocking this Fly Girl jacket all spring and summer long– it’s such a great piece! It’s obviously the perfect topper to an athleisure look, but I dig the sporty spin it gives a t-shirt and jeans, or even worn later with a summer dress and sneakers.

    I know that a trend that kind of style but I dont like it, I think I more fancy and them like more fancy clothes and I hated to do workout so I hate the clothes too!!!

  3. Errrrmygod. I freaking love this look and it looks so good on you! I don’t know if I can pull off athleisure in public, but I love wearing joggers around the house. Plus, Athleta is amazing because they have fair trade products! Such a lovely company (and outfit)!

  4. I think I might be obsessed with those pants. I love how they work for a casual look like this but I could also totally see them being amazing in a more formal look. And paired with a blazer for work. I freaking love those things!

    1. They really do go just about anywhere- I wore them to the office and people were losing it over how lightweight and dressy they looked with a sweater and booties!

  28. I am definitely a fan of this entire comfy outfit! Especially this jacket! I love having a nice workout jacket I can toss over my workout clothes. I instantly feel more fashionable and put together! Which is always a win. Also, you look great as usual!!
