If you’re just starting to venture into denim territory after months in leggings and joggers (no shame), allow me to present a nice transitional option: destroyed boyfriend jeans. A slouchy fit is very on-trend right now, but it’s also a comfortable way to wear denim because it’s very non-binding.

I sized up in these H&M jeans (another tip for getting a slouchy fit) and paired them with a silky camisole bodysuit (also seen last week here). I dove deeper into my ankle boot collection and slipped on these gray suede stompers– nothing says autumn like breaking out the boots! (If you’re looking for a pair in the same style, I love these snakeskin versions.)

The standout piece in this fall ‘fit is this snakeskin jacket. I scored it last year at the Liverpool LA pop-up at Oak Park Mall and they still have it in stock. It is the softest jacket you’ll ever own! The faux suede situation is super buttery and delightful. Highly recommend!

This look is pretty tough, so I added some feminine touches with delicate gold jewelry. This has been my go-to accessorizing move lately. A handful of delicate rings, a few chain necklaces, a gold hoop here and there. It all adds a bit of girliness without going overboard.

I really can’t believe it’s the middle of October– although life in lockdown manages to both drag and fly by.

Our main event in October is Dave’s 100-mile race the weekend of the 24th. (I know, he’s insane.) I’m going to help crew for him because it’s going to be a 24-hour long affair. He’ll need lots of food, changes of clothes, blister kits, and water to keep him going for the entire race. He’s really excited to run (and also to be done!) as he’s been training for this since March. It’ll be a wild weekend, for sure.
