Blue and White Floral Dress.

Spring is in the air with this blue and white floral dress.

It’s not often I just wear a pretty thing and not punch it up with leather, spikes, or something weird. But there was something about this blue and white floral dress that begged to be worn without all my usual edgy fuss; a 90’s-something-or-other quality I couldn’t quite put my finger on.

Did I have a version of this dress as a kid? Perhaps. Or something in this print? Probably.

But mostly this outfit was just about letting this dress have its moment, unfettered by anything extra or designed to contrast. Unless, of course, you count a classic denim jacket. This one is a steal under $50 and will go with everything in your closet this spring and summer.

The obvious venue/event to wear this blue and white floral dress is a wedding, baby shower, bridal shower, or just about any warm-weather event that requires a little easy glam. Not full-blown formal, but not your cutoffs and sneakers, either. What I love about this dress is that while, yes, it’s pretty and can be fancy, it’s also lightweight enough to stay casual. Beach vacation? Brunch? Yep and yep. Lean into that relaxed vibe (like I did above with the jean jacket) by swapping out the heeled sandals for something flat– like these cork t-straps! You’ll immediately strike a different style chord.

    1. These cork heels were a Forever21 purchase (they still have ’em in limited stock this season, I believe) and they are SO cute, right? And manageable, comfort-wise! 🙂

  1. I just love blue and white together during the summer… Usually its blue and white stripes in my closet, but this blue and white floral dress is just GORG! I love those nude heels, too!

  2. Ooo… lovely! So feminine and pretty.

I’ll playfully quibble with you. In these pics, the dress isn’t “unfettered by anything extra,” it’s accompanied, improved and completed by your gorgeous flowing hair! That deserved mention, too. 🙂

    1. Aww, thank you so much! It was so windy the day we shot this, but we were able to catch some photos where the wind was working WITH us and making my hair look pretty damn good, haha. 🙂

  4. What a wonderful dress! Love the print. I think maxi dresses looks so pretty but I have a hard time finding one that’s not too long for me.
