Pearl details to perk up a basic sweater + denim outfit.
I have really been living that neutral life lately, outfit-wise. There’s something about a tan or a beige that feels classic but also less dreary than black. An interesting feature keeps things fresh: check out the pearl details on this basic beige knit. Delicate but cool, right? (See similar versions here and here.)
This was also the perfect outfit to wear these booties. That taupe-y greige situation worked really well with the sweater. (The boot also comes in a ton of colors!) Basic denim with a nice high waist in a classic wash tied ’em both together, and a pair of Nickel & Suede earrings in a pretty, goes-with-everything vanilla shimmer added another element of sass.

The overall look is sup wearable, warm, and goes from casual Fridays at the office to a boozy Sunday brunch. It also plays if you don’t feel like getting all dolled up in red or pink for Valentine’s Day.
The end of January + early February is always such a drag, am I right? The holidays are over, winter seems never-ending, and you’re ready for a new season of clothing. Not necessarily new clothing, just something different to break up that jeans-and-a-sweater rotation. Can you remember what it feels like to leave your house without the requisite 3 layers, a hat, and gloves? I can’t, either. (All my southern pals who don’t get a true winter, can we come stay with you for a while to get a winter reprieve?)
The good news is with January done and dusted, we’re inching closer to making those warm-weather dreams a reality. I’m hoping for a Groundhog miracle or something in that vein— c’mon, spring!
