I’ll be honest, you guys. I didn’t think the acid wash denim revival was for me.

But then I spotted these high-waisted versions at H&M and I had to give ’em a shot. They looked retro and fun. My friend Brina was less convinced, saying, “You’re going to look like Perrie from Little Mix.” (This isn’t usually a compliment.) But y’all know me– I do enjoy a good challenge. Turns out, these jeans were a perfect fit.

I wore them with the incredibly versatile Express Portofino shirt. A ton of colors + prints, super flattering cut; you need one (or four). Those lace-up Helena sandals (such a great summer shoe; been wearing these guys quite a bit lately) and a few gold Gorjana touches and I had the makings of a solid outfit. Acid wash jeans, who knew?

  12. Some people can pull off acid wash, and you are one of them! I have a pair of super light acid washed jeans, and I just have no clue what to wear them with. Every time I put on a top with it, I’m like “ooo….not that”!!

    1. Thanks, Angela! And you know what, they’re not bad. They look like they pinch- and they totally don’t. They’re a single-sole, so not quite as comfy as a platform, but I find ’em pretty manageable. 🙂

  14. I love these! They are just the right amount of acid wash without looking like you found them in your mom’s stash of “someday I’ll fit into-” clothing. (; I mean, don’t all mom’s have their 80’s/ 90’s jeans hanging up in the back of their closets?

  20. Hey those jeans look pretty killer, and they really seem to fit, I have some many “skinny” jeans that get the knee pouches I hate that. These seem like the don’t do that. Love them.

  25. I find acid wash jeans quite hard to style as they can look quite messy with the wrong clothes. I have a pair and I really have to amp up the rest of the clothing or else I won’t look very stylish, you’ve done a great job!
