An over-sized and borrowed-from-the-boys piece you need now.

Trends right now are skewing to the slouchy + baggy side of things; the 90s are in full effect. You’ve seen the California It Girls (Hailey, Gigi, Kylie) wearing boxy denim everything, over-sized logo sweatshirts over shorts, and lots of throwback Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein. This trend has been interesting to explore, especially after I scored some pieces in the men’s section at H&M: jeans (seen here and earlier this week here) and this very 90’s denim jacket. I wanted to balance the boxiness of the jacket, so I grabbed a pair of cutoff shorts (it is unofficially summer, after all). Red fringe sandals keep the look from being too masculine (and breaks up all that denim).

I’m loving this jacket over athleisure outfits (workout leggings + tanks, with sneakers) and basic swing dresses with a 90s-style choker. After that, my transition to Brenda from 90210 will be complete.
