80s Boss Babe with Scoobie + Kindred Shops.

Another Kindred Shops round, this time in a versatile Scoobie sweater.

Happy November and happy sweater weather! It’s here, full-time, ready to rock. While on a Kindred Shops run, I grabbed this gray sweater from Scoobie and these vintage trousers and built this 80s boss outfit by linking them with a (super cheap) corset belt from ASOS.

The slouch of the sweater belted nicely and created such a cool + beautiful draping effect, and worked well with these menswear-esque pants. They’re from the late 80s-early 90s, so they have a higher waist and a more bias cut indicative of that era.

Being on the short side, I needed a shoe that would give me some height so I didn’t lose my shape in the trousers. Christian Louboutin sky-high slingbacks to the rescue! I bought these puppies years ago as a little gift to myself, and they never disappoint (or go out of style). The end result look was so 80s– I loved it! My Cybill Shepherd kick continues

What I love about this sweater is that it will work with anything in your closet. I’m styling it retro + for the office here, but it would be just as cool with skinny jeans and tall boots or thrown over a sports bra with leggings and sneakers for an athleisure spin. There’s nothing a gray sweater can’t do!

I have been raving about the vintage section at Kindred Shops lately, and these trousers are another one of those scores. Do you see what I mean when I say that there is something for everyone at Kindred? All the cutest + best local boutiques in the city, plus home goods, accessories, gifts, shoes, and seriously sweet vintage finds. It’s always on my list of must-visit shops when I need a new piece.

And a big thanks to David Sosna for these shots!
