Free People Sweater + Kut from the Kloth Denim.

This Free People sweater is staying out all spring and summer long.

The bohemian in me wakes up every spring and summer, ready to stretch her legs and wear all the boho things. This Free People sweater is definitely one of ’em; its loose knit and light neutral color make it great for wearing now through August. It’s asymmetrical and oversized, which means a laid-back + lived-in vibe. (Snag it here!) I matched it with these light wash Kut from the Kloth jeans (look at that cute frayed hem!) and a pair of pointed white loafers.

Do you set a few sweaters aside when you pack your winter stuff away? I keep a few lightweight versions handy throughout the spring and summer; they are great for cooler days/nights and work really well with cutoffs come full-blown summer.

Pieces like this Free People sweater are closet essentials because they work all year long. If you don’t want the major boho vibe I was going for here, you could size down to keep the balance in check. I personally cannot wait to wear this piece with busted-up jean shorts and ankle boots– that’s my summer jam, right there.

  1. I love light weight sweaters for spring! I am super cold natured, so I wear long sleeves to work pretty much all year (or bundle up when I get to the office). Loving this sweater on you … and I kind of think I need it too!

    1. Right? I’m ALWAYS cold when I’m at my office, no matter the month, because they keep the building so chilly. This sweater would be super cute on you, lady!

  2. I’m definitely a girl who still wears light sweaters in the summer. Partially because it never gets that hot where I am, and partially because I just love them. Love this look on you, btw! Boho/ off the shoulder things definitely look great on you. I almost bought a Free people sweater from a thrift store the other day but I restrained myself in an effort to save money. Kinda wish I had though…

  3. Okay those jeans look fabulous on you! Perfect proportions with those loafers. I do keep a few lightweight sweaters out because some Summer nights can be cool!

  4. I love free the people but I’ve never find anything that looks great on me, but that doesn’t stop me from trying. I could totally rock this sweater.
