White Vici Wedding Dress.

This Vici number would make a killer beachy wedding dress.

Not for me, of course. But for someone doing a destination beach wedding, this white Vici dress would make the perfect wedding dress. Right? Just look at that detailed overlay– and those off-the-shoulder sleeves! Romantic fashion drama at its finest.

Because I wasn’t wearing this for a wedding (rather, an influencer event), I needed to add my own spin. Translation: how can I make this wedding dress tougher without making it too weird? 😉 The answer: snakeskin! The print of the moment came to my style rescue in the form of ankle booties (last seen here and on sale now) and a belt (super score right here for under $17).

I kept the jewelry minimal because holy surface of the sun, was it hot, save for a pair of statement earrings. Kept the Garmin smartwatch on because I wanted to know my calorie burn walking around socializing in the heat. (It was legit.) A clear tote was an of-the-moment choice; these bags are everywhere right now. You can score mine on the cheap from Amazon.

The Kansas City humidity is back with a vengeance. After a relatively cool + rainy spring, the past few weeks have been cookin’. High dew points mean it feels downright gross outside, and this night was no exception. During the seated presentation portion of this particular event, I realized I was literally sitting in a small puddle of my own sweat. The glamor! Thankfully, we snapped these photos right before the event– and before my hair had a chance to fall flat, ha.

The dress itself actually help up remarkably well in the heat (another reason it would be a great wedding dress). The lining is nude, so you don’t have to worry about your spray tan leeching through. (The worst, am I right?) And the fabric is relatively lightweight, so you’re not completely suffocating. Legs out, shoulders out, arms out– those factors allow for any breeze to cool you off. I’m currently scheming where/when I can wear this little white dress again!

    1. I really think the belt changed the look- it helped tie in the booties and gave the outfit a tougher spin! 🙂

  1. I actually think it’s just a cute white dress for summer — maybe because you belted it? I don’t see wedding dress at all, just super cute off shoulder style.

    1. Well that’s good! Now I won’t feel quite as weird wearing it out all the time- because it’s just too pretty not to! 🙂

    1. Wouldn’t it be?! I need someone to get married in this, or invite me to a wedding where everyone wears white! Ha!

  2. Yes this dress would be perfect for a beachy wedding. I use to work for Bridal Magazine and we use to feature dresses like this all the time as alternatives to long dresses. You look great in this!

And yes the weather don’t get me started. Same here c long cool rainy spring then BAMO right into super hot SUPER HUMID weather. It is either freezing cold, raining or boiling hot and humid. We can pretty much count on two hands the amount of nice/perfect weather days we get a year. But no such thing as global warming…

    1. Thanks, Jennie! PS I tried to leave a comment on your latest post and got a “blocked as suspected bot” message- I even reloaded and tried again without pasting any HTML for a link.

  4. Holy cow, this dress is amazing! And you in it?! I think creamy white is you color. Digging the snakeskin edge to the look. And I have to say, you do not look hot (well, not in the high temperature way!) At All! You hide it well!

I’m familiar with standing up out of a pool of your own sweat. Just last week in khaki linen trousers. And khaki gets dark when wet. So. That was a good look 🙂
