White Puff Sleeve Dress + Neon Accents for KC Homes & Style.

Time to break out those little white (puff sleeve) dresses.

Easter is in the rearview and Mother’s Day is nigh, it’s officially time for little white dresses. That Memorial Day rule is outdated– plus who in their right mind could wait to wear a super cute number like this white puff sleeve dress? It’s part of my latest feature for the May issue of KC Homes & Style.

I love how this outfit takes the classic little white dress and adds some modern touches. Those oversized sleeves are equal parts loud and girly, but the shirt collar brings some balance. I love how voluminous the dress is, which plays nicely with the shorter hemline. Plus as temperatures (and humidity levels) rise, who wants bodycon anything? Give me breezy or give me death.

Bringing this look more into 2022? Bright accents. Saturated colors have been everywhere this spring, so I sprinkled in some neon pink (pumps!) and sunshine yellow (bag!) to add a little flavor. This yellow Teddy Blake bag has been in the heavy rotation since I scored it earlier this spring. If the bag is new, it’s balanced by these neon pink Charlotte Russe pumps, which are very old. Barbie chic!

What you don’t see here? Me absolutely struggling in these tall pumps. My ankles were not having it, ha. This shouldn’t come as a surprise, considering I haven’t been in sky-high stilettos in well over 2 years on any sort of regular basis. I was actually taking squatting breaks while Brina adjusted the camera settings.

I want to congratulate the Kansas City Homes & Style team on another killer issue! Cheers to the (unofficial) start of summer!

    1. I’m just so down for how breezy this look is! You can be dressed up and not be uncomfortable- especially as we get into summer and things get so hot!

    1. Aw, thank you so much, Marsha! I love all the volume here- which can swallow a person, haha, but I think the shorter hemline makes up for it. And then I added a super tall shoe to really lengthens things- and voila! Thank you for stopping by!

    1. I really can’t ever say no to a statement sleeve, haha. Thank you, Jill! Hope you had a lovely Mother’s Day!
