Red Leopard + 90s Heels for Jazzoo 2019.

Red leopard Wilma Flintstone for Jazzoo.

I do love dressing for a theme, so it was a quick “Yes, of course,” when our friends, Cait and Kev, invited us out for Jazzoo. Jazzoo was celebrating its 30th year and is the biggest fundraiser for the zoo, raising money to help feed the zoo’s more than 1,000 animals. More than 70 food + beverage vendors set up little tents all over the grounds and you wander around sampling everything from mini lobster rolls to carnitas nachos.

In addition to being a great fundraiser for the zoo, Jazzoo is a fashion event. This year had an African theme, so my red leopard dress fit right in. I scored it via ASOS on sale for under $75. It gave off this definite Wilma Flintstone vibe that I was into. (Leopard print is big, guys.)

A successful Target run produced these chunky 90s sandals to give the dress some retro edge. Comfy shoes were key because you walk all over as you eat, drink, and mingle. (Jazzoo even has flip flops on sale during the event for ladies who end up giving up on those 4-inch heels by the end of the night!)

We make quite the group, eh? Dave, me, Cait and Kev.

I sold Dave on wearing the shirt (prints aren’t his thing) by promising to take it off his hands once Jazzoo was finished. True to my word, I wore it the next day with biker shorts and sneakers.

    1. The sandals were REALLY comfy, considering we walked all over the zoo! I’m glad I chose these over a pair of higher heels!

  1. I loved this dress on you when I saw it on your Instagram, it’s so fun and chic! And the one shoulder detail is also so fabulous too! Great look!
