Summer solstice is just around the corner (crazy, right?), so it makes sense to put together a few pool-friendly outfits. I’m a fan of wearing regular pieces as cover-ups; it’s a bit unexpected and you’ll be surprised what can pass at the pool. Take this black silk tank from Zoa: super sheer, gorgeous embroidery, and totally works with a tank layered under + paired with white skinny jeans. But unbutton the tank and wear it over a bikini top and cutoffs? Now you’re ready to hit that poolside BBQ.
Adding a pair of ankle boots (over the obvious summer sandal) brings a festival vibe– you guys know I’m a fan of that look. And the bra is back, folks! Delicate lace under the silk tank was a nice touch, and worked with the frayed hem of the acid wash shorts.
Shop the look:
The high-waisted shorts mean just a peak of skin (rather than full-on midriff). Want more coverage? Sub out the bra for a regular tee/tank and tuck it in. Add a belt for a cool retro vibe. Hitting the pool/beach and need to waterproof this look? Bikini top + flip flops/pool slides sets you up nicely.
