When it comes to planning my outfit for Kansas City Fashion Week, I usually err on the side of ridiculous. The theme this year? Fringe. Be it bright white or black suede, I am all about fringe lately. It’s my favorite spring trend, by far. I love the boho/Western vibe it adds to an outfit.
I built this outfit around the skirt; it was definitely the statement piece. But that didn’t mean giving the other elements the night off: enter a lacy bralette from For Love and Lemons, the perfect biker jacket, and a body chain. Hello, 1994.
PS- what did I say about leather jackets? They go with everything from a super girly dress to this moody skirt + bra combo.

Kansas City Fashion Week was a blast– yet again. Always lovely to hit Union Station, grab a few cocktails with some local bloggers + friends, and watch some fun looks come down the runway. My favorites: Andrea Long’s ombré chiffon one-shoulder gown, an amazing sparkly romper from Lucia Sarto- Nataliya Moyer, and a drapey + gathered dress with leather leggings from Michael Drummond.
Thanks again to the folks at KCFW for having me as a member of the media again!
The Blogger Collective put together a little link-up so members could share our favorite spring thing– mine is most definitely the fringe trend, in case you were unclear. Check out what my fellow babes shared as their favorite spring thing:
