Dressing up cutoffs with a striped blazer.

I’m continuing my quest to Wear All the Summer Things before summer’s over. Today I’m adding some serious style points to a pair of casual cutoffs (a darker version of ) with a striped blazer and a pair of nude sandals (totally on sale right now, btw). A blazer adds an element of polish to any look, destroyed denim included. A silky floral camisole presented a print mix opportunity– and would still make for a pretty outfit if I decided to slip out of the striped blazer at some point.

This striped blazer isn’t necessarily going away when fall fully hits; it’ll still work with full-length denim and lightweight sweaters. I’m going to keep it around for transitioning summer-to-fall looks, for sure.

What is everyone up to this weekend? Tomorrow night we’re heading to The Pitch’s annual Margarita Wars event, which is a contest to find the best margarita in KC. Locals bars + restaurants set up shop near The Well and attendees wander (stumble) around, taste-testing different margaritas and then voting for their fave. My friends and I have been the last 2 years and it’s a blast! I’ll likely be documenting the whole thing on Insta stories if you’re interested in watching.

Sweetheart, the sweater is charming, with lace and flowers that gives a special shine very well combined with denim shots and beautiful sandals.
