A breezy t-shirt dress to save me from August.

I love a good pair of tight, form-fitting jeans, or a pair of leggings that suck everything in. Bless those garments for their magical properties. But a super blousy, baggy t-shirt dress is a wonderful thing. It’s breezy, it has that cool factor, and you can let it all hang out underneath. There’s something to be said for that– there are just some days you don’t want to be all trussed-up by spandex and denim,  especially in the August heat + humidity.

I added a pair of fresh white kicks to inch this outfit in the athlesiure direction, although this t-shirt dress really could be styled a number of ways. Big silver hoops and a statement necklace, and your girl was out the door, no fuss.

My favorite thing about this t-shirt dress (besides the serious slouch factor) is how soft it is. It feels like a pair of pajamas, for real. Get it online here. For my KC friends, pop into Kindred Shops at Oak Park and grab this dress– you will not regret it!

A few other ways to style this bad boy: throw a jean jacket or a leather jacket (come fall) over the top to add some structure or wear with leather sandals/wedges and a bold lip to dress it up. You could also knot the hem to shorten it up a bit (especially helpful for those of us on the short side) and show off a bit more leg.
