Madewell Summer Canadian Tuxedo.

A summer version of a double-denim classic.

I do love an all-denim look, so a warm-weather version of this outfitting go-to sounded fun + practical. A summer Canadian tuxedo, if you will. This was also an excuse to wear those amazing Madewell jeans I have been raving about, this time paired with a super cute chambray tank top. A navy bandana felt like the perfect Americana touch (you can score one here or here for under $10), and a nude sandal with a manageable block heel added a little height.

Madewell tank (more sizes here and really dig this striped version) and jeans (love the stepped hem version, too) // Madden Girl sandals c/o Rack Room Shoes (more on sale here) // Forever21 bandana (almost exact here, here, and similar here) // ZeroUV sunglasses // Garmin smartwatch (with this band)

I cannot say enough good things about these jeans. The high waist not only looks cute with a crop top, but it works with everything else in your closet. Just because they’re high-waisted, doesn’t mean you have to have the high waist on display. The denim is super stretchy, which makes ’em comfortable, but they still hold all the bits in. Jeans as cozy Spanx, you feel me? I love ’em as part of this summer Canadian tuxedo, but they will be in the rotation with everything from chunky sweaters to leather jackets come fall.

You might notice my massive tumbler (full of water; this shoot was particularly hot). I bought this as a set on Amazon and totally spaced on how huge these guys were– hello, 32 ounces! I clearly didn’t read; I was expecting them to the size of a normal Starbuck’s grande… Not so much. But these do come in handy at the office (less trips to the break room for refills!), running errands, and during a spin class for max hydration.

    1. You could totally rock this look- and YES, that is the value of this tumbler being so big! Definitely have to fill it up less often!

  1. I love this top, it’s so cute and looks great with these jeans and these wonderful sandals. The navy bandana a special touch to the whole ensemble. Good choices, which only show your glamor, darling.

  2. Love the denim on denim look! Such a cute top! And I can never get glasses big enough. I drink so much water, I keep a giant glass water bottle at my desk to constantly refill my tervis!

    1. Oooh, having a pitcher-esque container of some sort is a smart idea. This tumbler definitely holds ALL THE LIQUID! Haha.

    1. Nothing like a little spandex-infused denim to help suck ALL the bits in! You look amazing, lady! Would not have guessed almost 50! 🙂
