Wow, it’s nearly November and I’m just now posting my first sweater outfit of the season. Summer lingered longer than normal and we’re only now starting to cool off enough to warrant breaking out the knits. (I’m fully okay with this as long as winter doesn’t cut fall short– gimme a full fall season, please!) Today it’s a slouchy striped sweater over a pair of much-loved Levi’s and gray croc boots.

A striped sweater is a fall must-have. Snuggly, super cute, and always in style. (My exact sweater is sold out, but this one is a great dupe and I’ve linked even more below.) Wear it like I am here with jeans, untuck it over a pair of leggings and boots, or layer it on over a fall-hued dress for a fun fall fashion spin.

These Levi’s are on repeat year after year because they’re just that damn good. The no-stretch, classic denim molds to your body as the jeans break in, creating a custom fit. The cut is slim but not skinny, ensuring wearability no matter what style is on trend.

Gray croc booties (seasons ago from Zara, but here is a super similar version still in stock) elevate the look a bit. You could easily swap this heeled bootie for a sneaker or a loafer you if you wanted a more casual vibe.

With an oversized sweater, you’ve got yourself a go-anywhere fall combo. I folded the hem of this striped sweater and tucked it up into the band of my bra for a front-tuck effect that doesn’t add bulk. Sometimes shoving the front of a chunky knit creates lumps where there aren’t any lumps. Sock that style tip away for later this fall.
