More cozy cardigan action, this time with mega flares.

The cardigan takeover continues here on LSR: today it’s a rust version over a pleated camisole with light wash flares. I’ve been loving a little monochrome lately (exhibit A), so pairing this cardigan and cami together seemed like an obvious win. This sweater is by Forever21– they have been absolutely killing it lately in the cardigan department– and it might just be the softest sweater ever. Snuggle factor off the charts.

It’s cool in KC, but not full-stop fall just yet. We still get some warm days, so I’m taking advantage by grabbing a pair of flares in a summery wash and wearing them with platform sandals. Still a wee bit transitional, but definitely leaning heavily on the November side of things.

This rust cardigan will be perfect over a black turtleneck + leggings, with tall boots or a pair of lace-up flats. I’m also curious how it will layer with a boxy leather jacket; it could make for a really cool high-low look. And trust, it’ll also totally double as a robe for lazy days when I’m just shuffling around the house in slippers– it’s that cozy.

    1. It’s not a color I used to reach for, but I made a conscious effort to this fall and now I’m a little addicted. 🙂

    1. I bought this pair at the verrrry end of summer and never actually wore ’em until now- trying to style them with fall pieces; we’ll see about winter, ha. 🙂

    1. Thanks so much, lady- and I’ve been in the same boat, usually opting to go for fitted up top with flares. Then I got this cardigan and said, “Screwwww it.” Ha! 🙂
