Girly and Tough: Flouncy Blouse with One Teaspoon Boyfriend Jeans. | Ashley from LSR

Renaissance Blouse + One Teaspoon Boyfriend Jeans.

A girly blouse over tough boyfriend jeans for an early fall look.

My off-the-shoulder blouse collection is really out of control. I’m even taking shirts not traditionally worn off the shoulder and making it happen. But I really couldn’t help myself when I spotted this super romantic off-the-shoulder blouse from Vici. It’s a little Renaissance, right? Shakespearean? I thought so. I had to balance the Girly Factor (always), so I grabbed an old trusty pair of boyfriend jeans from One Teaspoon. They’re not too slouchy, have the right amount of distressing, and a cool cuff that makes ’em perfect for pairing with pumps. These Nine West numbers are a go-everywhere favorite; they easily work at the office but also look quite cool with destroyed denim.

How do you usually wear your boyfriend jeans? Do you mix them with girly pieces like I’ve done here, or do you gravitate toward a double tough pairing?

  1. That is definitely a Renaissance themed blouse – and I usually think those babies look ridiculous on most people (in addition to them giving me flashbacks to that Seinfeld episode about the puffy shirt) but I am really digging this on you. I think pairing it with those jeans is what’s doing it for me, it definitely modernizes things a bit and makes the whole outfit come together.
