A breezy summer linen maxi with leather accents.

We’ve been blessed by the cold front gods and are enjoying some seriously gorgeous weather in KC right now. The lower heat and humidity means it’s the perfect time to break out a long maxi dress. This printed linen maxi is from Victoria’s Secret is both super cute and comfortable. (VS longer sells non-athlesiure clothing, which is such a shame because they had some killer stuff.) This dress is one of those no-undergarments-required numbers, which speaks to me on a spiritual level because shapewear + a strapless bra in the summer sun is not my idea of a good time.

I wore this linen maxi with studded gladiator sandals and a belt looped at the waist to cinch things in– love this Linea Pelle version because it has belt holes all the way around, which means you can wear it high, low, at the waist, at the hip, etc. Major belt bang for your buck.

I plan on bringing this linen maxi to Vegas this weekend, where some friends are getting married. An outdoor wedding ceremony in the desert definitely calls for all the breezy stops! In the meantime, let the packing frenzy begin.

  1. That is such a pretty dress! That’s too bad about their clothing line – they really did have some good pieces. And yes, funny how we need strapless bras for so many summer tops, and sweaty weather is kind of the worst for strapless bras. The slippage is no joke!

  8. Love this look! The belt is the perfecta addition. I also heard that VS was discontinuing their swimwear!!! A lady there told me so when I asked why every bikini was like 60% off, and she told me to get it while I can. So crazy.

    We’re having a bit of a cooler bout as well. It’s all the monsoons and rain we’ve been getting. It’s so nice! Man I can’t wait for winter. Hope you are having a great week girl!

    1. Isn’t that crazy about VS swimwear?! I heard that, too. I wonder what’s going on- I always figured in the swimwear sold like mad, but maybe not…?

  19. Alright, your post puts all that talk about summer ending and welcoming fall to shame because girly you nailed that maxi! And it still is summer so rock it while you can! Fabulous pictures and thank you for reminding all of us that even though retail is already celebrating the winter season, we should still be celebrating the last days of summer!
