Polka Dots and Double Denim.

I love pairing things that at first don’t seem to mesh. It’s a good way to squeeze a new outfit from your wardrobe, plus it decrease the chance of you looking like everyone else.

Take this silk polka dot blazer and this distressed chambray button-up: not bad with a few layered statement necklaces, skinny denim, and black glitter pumps, right? I tied my hair back in a quick (lazy) braid to minimize the volume around my face. (Big, wavy lion hair + double collars + double statement necklaces is a lot going on in the neck region; scale it back.)

Perfect outfit for a pizza + wine date with the guy. (Whoever thought to put lumps of creamy ricotta on a white pie should be given some sort of medal; genius!)

  3. Cute look! Love the lazy braid- I’d imagine it’s perfect for keeping it out of your face when chowing down on delicious pizza, no?

  4. Genius ricotta idea! And great outfit too! I am really loving chambray these days. Funny, too, because I used to hate anything denim that wasn’t jeans. My how I’ve changed 🙂
