Plaid Suit + Holiday Red. | Ashley from LSR

Plaid Suit with Adorn + Kindred Shops.

A classic menswear plaid suit with a moto feel.

Give me all the prints right now, please and thank you. This matchy-matchy plaid suit from Adorn (I scored it at Kindred Shops inside Oak Park Mall, KC fam!) is the perfect statement-making ensemble for early December. It’s holiday-adjacent (especially when paired with a bright red camisole) but also has its roots in London punk street style. I dig the juxtaposition! I added a velvet sock boot to dress it up but kept the rest of the accessorizing to a minimum (save this dainty little airplane necklace).

And don’t sleep on the ability to remix: break the pieces apart and wear the jacket with denim or the trousers with a chunky cable knit sweater. Wear the entire look to the office or out with your girlfriends because it totally plays well in both venues. This plaid is both festive and classic, so it’ll work now and all the way through to March.

Kindred Shops is packed with all the best boutiques in the city, Adorn being one of them. I was floored last week when I was perusing the racks! Definitely my go-to shopping stop when I need something new to add to the wardrobe. And despite having so much inventory, the staff knows the store inside and out! If I’m in a rush and don’t have time to play, I just tell ’em what I’m in the market for and they pull all the goods. Makes for a super quick + satisfying experience when I’m on a time crunch.

Thank you all so much for your support on my announcement last week that I’m moving. I am right in the thick of things: we close on our new place Friday, so this weekend is going to be absolute moving madness. I’m so excited to show you pics of the new place; I’ll be working overtime to get all unpacked and settled. There’s quite a bit happening over on stories, so follow me on Insta if you’re at all curious about real-time coverage of my Battle of the Boxes. 😉
