Flouncy prairie dress season, commence! I love a good floaty summer dress number, especially as the heat and humidity start to crank up here in the Midwest. I’m sharing this lovely go-anywhere peach prairie dress as part of the summer issue of KC Homes & Style. My exact dress is sold out, but this one is a pretty close dupe and I also love this sleeveless version for under $50.

We’re in a more casual era where sneakers work with everything. (This is not a complaint; I love it.) And what better way to take this dress to new, breezy heights than with a pair of elevated sneakers? You last saw these sneaks here as we were inching into spring, worn with mega-destroyed denim and an olive blazer. Today they’re the cute, casual punctuation to this smocked midi dress.

Speaking of smocked, I’m down for all the smocked pieces. They’re more comfortable to wear than other bodycon pieces (like full-stop spandex tops? I can’t in the heat, no thanks) and I love the way the smocking contrasts here against those oversized sleeves.

I wore this outfit to do a little mini-golfing with friends a few weekends back. The perfect outfit for putting it up on the greens and then hitting up a bar nearby for some cocktails. Swingy, cool, on-trend, and very comfortable.

I’ll remix this prairie dress again soon with a wedge or a strappy heel (height, please!) to dress it up. Instead of the beaded earrings (which are such an Amazon steal, by the way), an oversized gold hoop and layered gold necklaces will add some summery sparkle.
