Green Striped Romper. | Ashley from LSR

Green Striped Romper + White Pumps.

This green striped romper does all the heavy fashion lifting.

Romper season– and the first day of summer! I do love a good romper because they’re so easy to put on and go. Find a printed one like this green striped romper with a cute ruffle hem and you don’t really have to worry about anything else; the romper is doing the work for you. No heavy accessorizing or additional pieces necessary.

I popped this Lush green striped romper on with those white pumps you saw earlier this week and added a few gold touches, like these mirrored gold Sugarfix earrings (a score at under $13). The final look was super flirty, date-night ready, and cool for those hot summer nights. (I don’t know about you guys, but KC has been a total sweatbox for the past month. It feels like August around here!)

Shop the look:

When you’re shopping for a romper with a spaghetti strap or strapless feature, look for one with an extra layer/ruffle around the bust. This means you can go braless and not worry about visibly nipping out because that second layer conceals the nippage. (Praise!) Anytime I can opt out of bra-wearing in the summer, I’m a happier + more amenable human being. Boob sweat is annoying enough as it is!

    1. Boob sweat is SO GROSS, right? And a sweaty bra is like an albatross of grossness, lol. I like to keep it breezy if I can! 😉 Thanks for swinging by, Melissa!

  4. Rompers are my favorite I find out this season! Lol 😂 I have always been attracted to them but these days I feel obsessed! When I see a romper I feel the need to try it on and even if I find something that works well, I am still on the hunt! This green and white romper of yours is so pretty! Love how you styled it and you are rocking this look! Happy weekend!

  5. It’s appropriate that your romper is green because I’m GREEN with envy. As you know, my recent experiment with a romper was a horrible mess, so bad I didn’t even post pictures. (Very rare for me, given the effort it requires for me to take them.) And here you are, beautiful as always, showing the world how cute a romper can look. I guess I’m simply going to have to accept that fact that you are pretty and I am… whatever I am. Honestly, I can handle that but it takes some emotional effort to do so. But enough about me, this is your blog so let me say YOU LOOK GREAT! Enjoy your beauty, your youth and your life.

    1. Oooh, my friend- I am sorry that this outfit made you feel insecure about your own romper trials. Maybe that particular romper just wasn’t the one for you? Or it looked fine in real life but just didn’t photograph well (my theory before, via Twitter). I know the effort and courage it requires of you to put an outfit post together- so sending you good luck vibes that the next shoot makes you feel like a ROCKSTAR!

    2. Thank you, Ashley. After I wrote this comment, I had second thoughts about being so candid. Your compassion helps me a lot. You’re truly a special person.
