Green Lace Blouse + Levi’s and Sock Boots.

Velvet sock boots and a lace blouse dress up my Levi’s.

I have been on quite the lace kick as of late, no? Today it’s this green and navy lace blouse from VICI, which feels perfect for the upcoming holiday season. I tucked the blouse into a pair of Levi’s you’ve seen many times and added some velvet sock boots to up that holiday feel.

The combination of this jewel-toned, structured lace with the faded, busted-up denim provides some nice contrast. The velvet and lace dress things up, while the jeans tone it down– making this outfit almost foolproof in terms of where you can wear it. From meeting up with friends for holiday drinks or doing Thanksgiving at your aunt’s, you really can’t go wrong with this outfit.

I also really dig how the sock boot works with these jeans. The fitted velvet slides right under the denim cuff, which not only looks cool but it keeps those ankles warm. (Kinda necessary now that we’re in mid-November.) The velvet is a traditional holiday fabric, but the modern sock boots add gives it some attitude.

This outfit is really easy to remix, as well. Not into destroyed denim? Tag in a pair of classic skinnies. Don’t want to wear a heel? Trade those sock boots for a flat ankle boot. Something with a pointed toe is a good choice. Weather too cold for just a blouse? Layer a black boyfriend blazer over the top of the blouse to keep cozy.

  1. Pretty cute! Loving the holiday-appropriate green. I’ve been wondering about sock boots. I struggle with finding an ankle booties that fits well. My calves are so large that when I find one I CAN get on, the front of the bootie presses right against the front of my shin, like pressing into the fat ( nice visual, eh?) and making an unattractive dent. Ahh, the struggle is real. A sock bootie: what holds it up? Is it really like a sock? I’ve actually never seen one in person!

    1. I hear ya! Sock booties are typically made of something super stretchy (the ones here are almost the same material as like a really thick velvet legging) so they slide on but stay up. πŸ™‚
