The holidays are here– it’s Thanksgiving week! The food alone makes it one of my favorite days of the year. I’m crafting a festive outfit perfect for celebrating in style while leaving room for turkey and pumpkin pie in this green checkered cardigan and satin joggers for the KC Homes & Style holiday issue.

The name of game? Oversized and slouchy. This style angle will provide you with maximum comfort on a day filled with carbs and family fun. My checkered cardigan is holiday-friendly and super snuggly (score similar versions here and here). Plenty bright with plenty of room. A pair of high-waisted satin joggers (like these) add a nice mix of casual and glam.

To inject a little more formal flair into the look, I finished with a pair of hunter green feathered mule sandals, a gold clutch, and some sparkle in the form of a statement lariat and tennis necklaces. These touches further elevate the look and add some interest.

This checkered cardigan is such a gem, right? It was a solid call for the Homes & Style holiday issue. That green-on-green will come in handy for a Christmas party here and there, and the satin joggers would look really great with a corset top and sparkly sandals for New Year’s.

  15. Such a fun cardigan and love that it is a bit slouchy! I just got a checkered blanket for my in home office, so I’m onboard the checkered print. Those joggers are SO cute, I need to check them out and the sandals add a little holiday cheer to the outfit!
