Graphic Pencil + Sweater Crop.

Eye-catching prints are always fun, but especially in a more traditional piece like a pencil skirt. I scored this graphic print version as part of the Peter Pilotto for Target collection a few months back, but am only now finally getting around to working it onto the blog. (Shame on me, really.)

Since there is so much going on with the print, I kept the top minimal with a halter cut sweater crop. Normally this top is Tummy City, but the higher waist of the skirt means everything stays covered. I went easy on the jewelry and strappy with the shoe– a color block sandal works in a pop of green to compliment the bit of green in the skirt.

As you can see, I’m super in bright borderline-neon lipsticks lately. ‘Tis the season? I’m wearing Finale in this post; pick it up here. (Oooh, drugstore score!)

  1. I love the sandals with the skirt- not too much, but definitely adds a little more fun! What a cool print. 🙂

  2. OMG you are too cute! I absolutely love this look on you and those shoes are amazing!!!

    1. You should definitely give it a try- plus the one I’m wearing is Revlon, so way easy on the wallet. 🙂

  3. I really like that you went with a simple (but so cute) sweater here, rather than a competing pattern. It’s still bold but it’s not “all the things” which I love! 😀

  4. You look awesome, girl! I love that it’s a crop top but you can’t see “tummy city” hahahaha, because it means you can wear it in a wider range of places.

  5. You are smoking hot head to toe. My Mom looked at 3 local Target stores to get me that Skirt I so loved but never found my size. I super love it, and your matchy heels too. I used to have some of those High-neck Halter Sweaters too a few years ago and got rid of them (wish I didn’t). I am trying (for my first time ever) a Cropped Sweater with a High-waisted Skirt though. It will be on the blog on Thursday. And I got some special, new pieces to feature on the blog tomorrow, too.

Thanks for letting me know the color and brand of that lipstick too because I love it. And especially Thank You for being part of my Birthday Post. Did you like the post? =) Let me know.

  6. I love the way the green in the skirt picks up the green in the sandals and vice versa! Cool look!

  7. I absolutely love you in a bright lip! You should exclusively wear neon lipstick because you look awesome in it! Me, on the other hand, not so much. Haha!

  8. Omgsh how cute are you–and I was giggling when yous said that shirt is usually tummy city 🙂 LOVE this look and the print on the skirt is fabulous. And thanks for sharing a great drug store lipstick find–def. going to pick some up!
