Elizabeth and James FTW.

Matching sets make life easier. You end up looking 110% polished with minimal thought and effort. Take this skirt and crop top set from Elizabeth and James: big payoff for essentially a simple outfit with zero accessorizing requirement (save a pair of Ray-Bans). The eggshell + slate gray combo is really fresh and the bold stripe is perfect for spring and summer. I love how the fitted pencil skirt works against the boxier nature of the crop. Throwing on a pair of neutral leather wedges and a pink lip were the biggest decisions of the outfit; I’ll take it.

While the set is meant to be worn together, the pieces can easily be broken apart. I’m thinking this crop top with a pair of high-waisted skinny jeans and the pencil skirt with a classic chiffon button-up + blazer.

  2. Ok this may be one of my favorite looks you’ve ever done!!! I love that the crop top isn’t too crop and doesn’t show a lot of skin, but together this is a great outfit!!! adore! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston

  3. It looks lovely on you but how would I pull off something like this on a bigger size? I’m a UK 12 with quite big boobs, and I think I’d just look terrible with that box cut! Jealous! #Allaboutme

    1. Hey there girlfriend, my tip would be to wear a bra that minimized your bust (ie, def not a push-up!) and maybe choose a crop in a solid + dark color. Work a brighter color/print on the bottom half of the look to draw the focus down. 🙂

  4. Ansolutely LOVE a good matching set!! This one is right up my alley! I hope when I am back to being my normal non-bumpy self I can look half as good as you do in a matching set like this!! Love the horizontal stripe style!! Very pretty darling!

  5. I’m in love with Elizabeth & James & love the matching separates. The color combo is perfect all year round and I feel like both pieces can be worn together or mixed and matched so easily. You look awesome!

  6. I like how in the second to last picture your part lines up perfectly with the edge of the house in the background.
I did that on purpose. Yeah. lol
Love this set and those wedges! Why is your foot smaller than mine? I want to steal them!

  7. I wouldn’t have ever thought to put a matching top and skirt together. But you’re right they look lovely here – and all the better for the minimal accessories. Loving the lipcolour! Thanks for linking up to #AllAboutYou
