All-black outfit with a little cream satin to soften it up.

I love tough looks, so give me a leather jacket with serious shoulders and a pair of moto leggings any day of the week. But adding in a little femme for balance isn’t a bad idea, so this was the perfect outfit to layer in this cream satin and black lace camisole (an H&M find). The satin and lace provide a break from the edginess, but the overall look stays street.

I have these leggings in three different colors because wow, they’re comfy. They don’t present like normal leggings; they give off enough of a trouser vibe that you can rock ’em even if you’re not on team Leggings as Pants. I happily skirt the antiquated office dress code and wear them all the time M-F with heels and tall boots. No one’s the wiser.

If you don’t have a pair of mules yet, allow me to introduce you to the shoe of 2016. It’s very 90’s, yes, but I practically live in these leather ASOS mules because they go to so many different venues: the office, weekend errands, date night, etc. My versions are sold out (for now), but shop just-as-badass mules here, here, and here. Of course, this cream satin camisole can be dressed up, too. I’m thinking of pairing it with cigarette trousers and a blazer for work, or over shredded boyfriend jeans for another tough-and-pretty combo.
