Cozy Spring Neutrals.

Dressing for spring in cozy neutrals when it’s still chilly.

Kansas City really isn’t getting the spring memo, guys. Just when we get a little hint of warm weather, a cold front breezes in from the north and sets us back in the 30s and 40s. (It has even snowed the past few Sundays!) I’m definitely feeling like wearing all the spring pieces, but the temps just aren’t cooperating– what’s a girl to do? Fashion pivot, of course: cozy spring neutrals, it is. I’m looking for spring style without sacrificing warmth. I went with light + bright neutrals for this look; a loose-knit sweater in a goes-with-everything beige and white leather loafers. A lighter-wash denim helps anchor the look in spring, and dainty gold accessories (love this necklace set!) add some whimsy.

I love sweaters like this– the first thing that comes to mind when I think cozy spring neutrals. They work layered with turtlenecks and camisoles in the cooler months, but can be kept out for the spring and summer because of their lighter weight and looser knit. This particular sweater is perfect for pairing with denim cutoffs and ankle boots for those summer nights that dip temperature-wise once the sun goes down.

  1. I totally would have worn this sweater when I was doing a lot of fashion pivoting back in March. Now that we’re at the end of April, the weather is finally feeling like spring on a consistent basis.

Also — those loafers are so cute.

  2. Adorable! You are looking stunning in this outfit. I am obsessed with these styles and can’t wait to try them. Thanks for sharing.
