Chenille Sweater + Snakeskin Pumps.

A chenille sweater in a springtime color for early March.

As much as we look forward to the end of February and the start of spring, March is still pretty much winter. Sure, you get some warmer days sprinkled in, but the bulk of the month is cold. You may want to start working spring things into your outfits, but the weather just doesn’t allow it. I like to take a cozy piece (like this chenille sweater) in a springtime color and pair it with easy denim to hint at spring without freezing my tail off.

This oversized chenille sweater is a gem: super soft, keeps you warm, and the slouch factor is right on target. (It’s from a few seasons back, but you can get the same vibe with this piece and this piece.) I added a little sass with a snakeskin pump (an all-season item!) with a pointed toe and a block heel. Rose gold accessories finished things off and elevated the outfit from just your basic jeans and a sweater look.

While I’m counting down the days until spring, this deep blush chenille sweater is just the piece to transition from one season to the next. I also really like it with a pair of slim cigarette trousers and those 90s heeled loafers for the office, or thrown over a pair of joggers for a loungewear look.
