Summer Neon: Fuchsia Dress. | LSR

A Bright Fuchsia Babydoll Dress for KC Homes & Style.

It finally feels like proper spring, so let’s get bright in a babydoll dress.

I’m a girl of two style hearts right now: it’s either all-neutrals or the brightest brights. Today the May/June issue of KC Homes and Style launches and I’m definitely in a bright frame of mind. (View the digital issue here!) This fuchsia babydoll dress is the perfect piece to swing around in the spring breeze– while maintaining a safe social distance from anyone else, of course.

Matchy-matchy has also been the name of the game as of late, so instead of a neutral or contrasting pump I grabbed one that matched the almost-neon fuchsia color of the dress. The result is a punch to the throat of seriously saturated color– and I’m not apologizing. It feels super fun and fresh, right?

The shots here turned out amazing, but the wind was an absolute cow the day we shot this. I’m talking sustained 20 mph winds with gusts of 30+. There was a lot of standing around trying to keep my dress down and my hair out of my lipgloss– and failing at both. I put on makeup for this?! Thankfully, we scored enough good shots to piece this post and the KC Homes and Style article together. Sometimes the wind is your friend and sometime it’s your foe…

Head on over to the KC Homes and Style site to check out the latest edition of my column, The Closet.

  8. Wow, this looks fab! I’m so with you on the style front – brights one days, the softest neutrals the next; variety is good for the soul. I love that you ended up going matching with the shoes – such a great shade on you.
    Hope you’re keeping well <3
