Blush Trench with Busted-knee Jeans.

A feminine blush trench with edgy denim.

After a few rounds of super feminine looks (like this blue floral number), I was ready to jump back into one of my favorite outfitting tricks: mixing girly with something edgy. This blush trench was on the blog last spring, and I loved the idea of pairing it with busted-knee Levi 720s and a chunky sneaker for some casual edge. A pretty camisole bodysuit (such a brilliant idea) tied the look together. I’ll definitely be re-wearing this piece all summer long!

Even though this blush trench is actually a dress, I have yet to wear it that way. I just can’t resist adding it as a duster-length spring layer! I need to put on the list, though, because it’s such a pretty piece.

A note on the jeans: I cut a few inches off the bottom of these 720s because I found they were just a bit too long. (Short legs, yeah!) If you snag ’em for yourself, they’ll have a standard hemline.

I cannot believe that this weekend is Memorial Day weekend– like where did spring go? Looking forward to getting together with a few pals this weekend and celebrating on a patio somewhere, weather-permitting, of course. Have a great weekend!

    1. This cami is going in the heavy rotation- the bodysuit makes it so easy to wear because it means you have the perfect tuck, always. 🙂

  2. Your sophisticated mix of feminine and edgy is a fashion move I admire. You teach me new stuff all the time. I hope you have a fun holiday weekend. I’m going camping in a beautiful place (Watkins Glen).

  3. Wow, I wouldn’t have know it was a dress, I am sure it looks great that way too! Vests are always fun to style and you nailed it!

  5. This is such a fabulous look from head to toe. I love that you wore your blush trench dress as a duster. I do that all the time with any long dresses I have. And I’m in love with your platform converse, so good!
