ASOS Festival Dress.

Off-the-shoulder boho chic.

There are two types of outfits when the summer heat + humidity kick in: barely-there and super floaty. It’s either a swim suit + cover-up, or something that hangs away from the body and gives your skin a little breathing room. This ASOS festival dress definitely falls into the latter category. It’s beyond roomy– you can eat all the BBQ and drink all the summer brews without a care in the world– but the shorter hemline shows off the legs.

Off-the-shoulder = on trend, and a heavy embroidered top means you can go braless. Which is a major bonus considering bras (and boob sweat) are the bane of my existence now through August. I elevated things with those leather wedges (from Tuesday), which pretty much go with everything in my closet. (This year’s version from Dolce Vita here, and a cheaper version here.) Round sunnies, a half topknot, and tiny turquoise earrings rounded off the outfit.

A major selling point of this ASOS festival dress are the light linen layers. This means things stay breezy, which is a requirement in the heat. You can wear it with a heeled sandal/wedge, or a flat. I also love the idea of this as a swim suit cover-up. It would transition well from the beach + pool to dinner after. More of these easy summer dresses in my closet, please and thank you.

  2. I love that LWD so much. I have a similar one but without the embroidery just with eyelet detail instead. I have worn it with similar nude/tan wedges too. You look great.

P.S. Your comment about bras and boob sweat made me laugh lol.

  3. Such a cute ensemble!! Summer heat definitely means boob sweat and dresses that are light and flowy are a great solution to add as much cool factor (literally and figuratively!) to an outfit as possible.

Looooving the dress and those wedges!
